This is my favorite white bean dip!
Love dill? Love easy? Then this is the dip for you.
Have I convinced you yet? This is my favorite dip, besides my Red Pepper hummus (that I shall post up soon!). I found it a year ago on ‘How Sweet Eats‘. It is delicious, and absolutely great for you. Plus I love white bean dip! All ingredients are raw and basically fresh.
My Aunt, who is a nutritionist, always tells me that a cup of beans a day keeps the doctor away. Beans have so much fiber & potassium (something most Americans do not get enough of) that we need in our diet, as well as so many other vitamins and minerals like Protein, Magnesium and Calcium.
Fun Fact about Beans:
Did you know that the common factor of all of the healthiest longest living people in the world (specifically in the Blue Zones) eat a cup of beans a day? It literally extends your lifetime to do something as simple as incorporating more beans into your diet, like the Mediterranean diet does. They also mention incorporating a handful of nuts a day, and eating your fruits and veggies and whole grains. You just can’t go wrong with some more beans in your diet!
I love how simple and easy this is to make. It takes all of 5 minutes to have ready to eat. So if you’re ever in a scramble to make something for your friends who are coming over last minute, this is an excellent recipe to utilize. Just about every ingredient here is probably already in your pantry, and you can substitute fresh dill for dill spice if you have to! Make this at any occasion for an appetizer or a snack, its a great way to surprise and please your guests;)
I’ve also got a cashew alternative to this recipe. This one is made out of mainly cashews instead of beans, in case you might be interested!
