HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
It is officially. The year. 2017. Wow.
Tim was just telling me how 2017 sounds almost, futuristic… It’s crazy. I can still remember being in elementary school when we celebrated the year 2000 as a new millennium. Wow.
I am so grateful to be alive and able to live in this new year. Tomorrow is never promised. We always think we will be able to live forever when we are young, I know not everyone gets that opportunity and privilege. Life is a gift truly.
I am thankful for all of my family who is still alive too. Both of my grandparents are with us and we see them a few times every month. My Nonna however has alzheimers, and it is really taking its toll on her and the family. It has been progressing for over 10 years now in her. I wish it could be reversed and she would go back to being the amazing woman I knew growing up, but it doesn’t always work like that. No matter what I still love her very very much, she loved me very very much. She always believed in God, and I know He has shown favor to her in her life. Whatever happens in this new year, I pray she will be happy and have peace. I will still keep praying for a miracle though.
I am thankful for my own health though, that I am slowly getting better since that awful event…it will be 3 years in 10 days… I am so happy to have answers as to what happened to me, and a clearer path now as to what to do about it. Still praying for remaining healing this year though, it has been slow but progress is progress!
I am blessed for my husband Tim, because without him I wouldn’t be who I was today. He keeps me level, he makes me so happy, he is supportive, loving, loyal, fun, and just a joy to be around every day. I am so glad nothing has changed since we got married August 16, 2015:))
Lastly I am thankful for my family, because also without them I would not be who I am today either. They are very close to me, and even though we do not always see eye to eye on things, I look up to them and I miss them whenever we are away from each other. I miss growing up where I saw them every day. But I am glad we live close enough to see them a few times a month and I pray that one day Tim and I will have a successful and happy family of our own to love…when the time is right that is! ;P
So anyways, I hope this new year brings you all joy, peace, love, safety, health, happiness and everything thats good to you and your family. Cherish the moment we are in now, because you never know what will happen next, life is just too short to not appreciate what is right in front of you <3
